These bikes come from America, founded by Ryan McFarland who has found a way that a toddler learns balance first and formost, the Strider balance PREbike was born.
Balance and co-ordination should be learned BEFORE pedalling, which only get in the way.
Bike RIDING is easier taught when balance comes before pedalling, reverse concept from traditional learning to pedal, which comes later.
Ryan McFarland ( inventor ) comes from a mechanical background, his mission was to build a bike for his own son that he could learn to ride without fear or injury.
